| 1948 | Enrolled at Tama College of Fine Arts (now Tama Art University). Participated in the avant-garde art movement "Seiki no Kai (Century Society)" alongside Taro Okamoto, Kiyoteru Hanada, and Kobo Abe. |
| 1950 | Co-founded the "Producers’ Roundtable with On Kawara. |
| 1954 | Gained attention when Kobo Abe introduced his work "Amimoto", exhibited at the Yomiuri Independent Exhibition. |
| 2011 | Appeared in the art documentary film "ANPO." |
| 2020 | Passed away from aspiration pneumonia at the age of 92. |
